Dear all

I’m just working with new software for analysis & distribution net works call SYME
(CYMDIST & CYMTCC), during the collection of data base as required by the software, they asked for GMR of conductors & cables,
Please advice.

One of the most badly worded questions I've seen this week! If you're asking what GMR is: GMR = geometric mean radius.

Page 9 of this link lists the formula; I'm not trying to post it here using TGML.

If you're asking something else then you're gonna have to try again with the question.

Kindly inform me the relationship between GMD & GMR, How can I calculate GMR for ACSR Conductor size 120/20???

Where:-
Strands - 26/7
D.cm – 1.55
GMD m - 1.26

About the only way to find the GMR of ACSR is look it up in the tables provided by the cable manufacturers. The presence of both aluminum and steel conductors makes direct calculation very difficult.
