I created what I thought was a cylindrical hole, radially through a cylinder wall (actually, a semicircular sheet metal part). (I sketched a circle on a plane through the center and extruded it to the OD.) All seemed well.
In the assembly I tried to mate a known cylindrical pin concentrically to the hole. SW sould only offer a tangent mate, and displaying Temporary Axes did not show one in the hole.
I can only assume that since the "circles" on the surfaces of the cylinder really aren't circles due to the surface curvature, SW doesn't consider the holes to be cylindrical.
Any ideas on how to get around this? Aren't the holes cylinders?
