Hi, we have associated Gas Compressor of Ariel make model JGH/4 driven by Waukesha F3521GSI Engine. There was a high 1st cylinder temperature problem reported and unit was shut down. On inspection, valves were found ok, but there was oil on Force Feed Lubricator pump. Dismantling revealed that the rupture disc broke on 1st stage discharge line of the FF Lubricator pump. We renewed it, internally inspected the cylinder, there were slight scuffing marks found on piston and rings, hence replaced the rings. However, it rehappened again in 4 day time, rupture disc again again was broken and piston rings were scuffed. We checked the lubricator pump, DNFT timing, it pressure, all was okay. We also checked oil flow in individual lines towards cylinder, found ok. NRV of lines also checked, were ok. We then ran the unit on low RPM i.e. 950 rather than 1050 and it is running smoothly ever since but we are facing production loss and had to flare extra gas.
Can anyone suggest probable solution to this.
