Hi all,

I have been running a 4kW laser machine for almost a year.
Lately i've found out that the machine is unable to cut long lines( about more than 1 metre) nicely,

I've tried cutting a 2 metre long straight line,
but the result is always good at the start and it slowly gets bad, and to the point of not cutting through towards the end of the cut.

I have tried changing new nozzles, but i'm still having these problems.
I am suspecting that the focal lens need to be replaced, is that correct?

thanks in advance.

Lens could indeed be the problem, but it could also be a cooling issue, or a output coupler issue. Check the lens with polarizing filters to see if it is stressed.
Or replace the lens and see if that fixes it. If not, try to cut at half the power (and about half the speed) and see if it is more consistent. If it seems to be able to cut longer before you get issues, I would look at the cooling and output coupler.
