CUSTOM SYMBOL INSERTS

I would like to create new symbol instances with variable text in them to insert in drawings. Similar to inserting weld symbols or geometric tolerances.

Enclose the text with back slash \

e.g. \text

I guess I should of been more specific, I don't know how to even start. every place I have work before had directories with standard symbols. Now I need to create it for myself.

If you want to create a new symbol in 2001, Format>Symbol Gallery: Define. From there you can create a new symbol with parameters (i.e. text similar to weld symbols). Email me if you need more help.
