Is there any way to customize a culvert opening - to one that is not a conventional round, box, or arch culvert? I could use a customized orifice, but then I wouldn't be able to model the tailwater conditions.

I have attached an image of what I am trying to model. I have a couple questions. I am trying to model the roadway, which has a bridge parapet. I don't believe there is a straightforward way to set up this type of weir.I could take the openings on both sides of the parapet, and add them together to create an equivalent weir, and then create a compound weir (but this would then reduce the contractions from 4 to 2, which isn't accurate)

Also, I am trying to find literature regarding top and bottom radius - I am trying to insert this arch culvert into that model. I have height and bottom width, but now I am trying to figure out how I can calculate the top and bottom radius.

Any advice you may have will be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm not exactly clear about your illustration, but if that's a partially filled culvert, you can model it with the "Fill" option on the culvert screen, which was added in HydroCAD 9.1

For the weir, you can use 2 (or 3) separate weir definitions in the same pond. You don't have to manually combine them into a single weir.

Thanks! I'll look into upgrading to HydroCAD 9.1.
