current price of fabricated steel

Anyone know the current ballpark figure for a ton of fabricated/detailed steel. Location is in Virginia but not looking for anything that specific unless it makes a huge difference. Just putting together some preliminary cost estimates.

Depends on how much fabricating is required. You can usually buy "red" steel for about $.40 -$.50 a pound in most parts of the country.

Fabricating will at least double that price.

Call a local fabricator and ask!!!
 
I heard the figure of $10,000/tonne total cost to fabricate and erect. Not sure on the breakdown of each component though.
