Hi all,

I have been playing around with CSI bridge for the first time in the last few days and I was not able to find one specific function.
The project I will start in a couple of weeks will be a balanced cantilever, so I am getting used to the segmental wizard.
I am struggling to change the boundary conditions at some stage of the construction, i.e. I need to consider the abutments as totally fixed whilst construction is being carried out, but eventually, once the cantilever is closed, those boundary counditions shall be changed and the rotations should be allowed.
I have the feeling you can only define one type of boundary condition per abutment, not giving the possibility of changing it at some point. I am pretty sure that is not possible and we can change them, just dont know where is the option!!.
Any help will be really apppreciated.
Thanks.

Not familiar with the program, but if you don't find the option you're looking for, I would think there's always the option to make a copy of the model and change the boundary conditions. Might require superimposing the stresses on some components from the 2 models, but it should work.

From what I know of the program, it should have the feature you want. There should be support available from the program supplier, too.

If the software is a finite element code then there must be a way to adjust boundary conditions. For example, in Plaxis you can adjust the boundary conditions at what ever stage you want. AS HR10 said, talk to the supplier, or search the user manual.
