Hello Friends,

I am looking for the tables to address which ASTM number is equivalent to the CSA designation like CSA G40.21-260W is almost the same as ASTM A36.

Any help/comment is appreciated.

Best Regards,
Frank

"Almost" only counts for horseshoes and hand grenades.

My reference book lists Type 1022 (UNS G10220) as the equavalent US carbon steel. While this alloy is cross-referenced in a number of ASTM specifications in the UNS book, A36 is not one of them. ASTM A36 is also not in the list of equivalent alloys in the Worldwide Guide to Equivalent Alloys, for what its worth.
