I've googled as much as I can and can't find any information on the cryocycling material (mainly cast inco 718, and a-286) and it's effects on material strength.
Does cryocycling make the part weaker, stronger, or nothing?
At most you will see a modest increase in the tensile strength. It will relieve some residual stresses, and has an affect on the high cycle fatigue life. It also will increase the wear resistance. For a list of research articles on cryogenics go to
