In NX8.5 is it possible that when you cross hatch in drafting, it automatically hatches to the type of material assigned to the parts?

I am just using steel and aluminum and they are both in the xhatch.chx file.

For NX 9.0 we've added that capability (Crosshatching based on the Material assigned to the Components of an Assembly) when creating a Section View in PMI. I don't know when and if this option will be added to the Drawing-based Section views but I'll try and find out and will post an update here.

Thanks John appreciate the info. [2thumbsup]

I have been wondering about having crosshatching associated with the material for quite a while, it is nice to see it added.

But remember, for now this only applies to lightweight section views created using the PMI tools.
