criteria for component interfaces

For the users using component interfaces has anyone set up rules or criteria? I have read this is to limit the number of possible matches but I cannot find any examples of this. I have called PTC with no luck so far. I have searched on the PTC Learning (Coach) with no luck either. Does anyone know of where I can find examples of this?

I was able to get the rules to work so that a 1/4 bolt would only go into a hole for a 1/4 bolt. In doing this the component was constrained using interface to interface. This prevents the bolt from following a pattern or being able to use the repeat command. This happens because the bolt is constrained to the interface and not the hole. This is a real drawback to this feature.
