Creating Tapped Holes on a Taper - Inventor 2010 1

Hi All,

Refer to a Taper Lock Bush.

How can I create a tapped taper hole like those found on taper lock bushes. I have created a blank bush but cannot get the holes to run through at the same angle as the taper.

Any ideas?

I don't believe the holes are aligned with the taper. They are normal to each side of the hub.

Did you know you can download an iPart for those?

There are some errors in those parts but it is relatively easy to fix. I did model my own a couple of years ago but I left them at my old work.

If you are interested I have attached an example for aligning holes. You use On Point placement and select a work axis for the direction.
