Is it possible to create a toolbar button for a specific journal in NX 7.5? I've searched the forum and Google to no avail.

Thanks

I think I just found my answer in the documentation. Sorry for making an unnecessary thread.

Go to...

Tools -> Customize...

...and when the dialog comes up, select the 'Commands' tab. Scroll to near the bottom of the 'Catrgories:' list and select 'New Button'. Now from the 'Commands:' list select 'New User Command' and drag it whichever toolbar that you wish to have the new icon placed. While still in Customize mode, select this new item, press MB3 and select 'Edit Action'. You will now get a dialog which will allow you to define a broad array of possible actions for this button including assigning a previously recorded Journal. Note that you can also define the text which you will see in the 'bubble help' which comes up when you place your cursor over the toolbar icon. Once that step is done and while still in the Customize mode, go back and reselect the new toolbar button. press MB3 and you will find a 'Change Button Image >' where you can picture an icon image from a standard palette or you can select your own .bmp formatted image file.

Once this workflow is completed, you can leave the Customize mode and you're good to go. However, there is one more thing that you need to do and that is save your Role so that these changes are protected and can be recovered incase you happen to change Roles accidently.
