It used to be like this:

1. Insert a drawing view
2. Move mouse to the left, left projected view was dinamically generated, click to fix it
3. Move mouse up, upper projected view was generated, click to fix it
4 . Move mouse 45 degrees to the left and up, iso view was generated, click to fix it.

And so on. With a few clicks and moves of the mouse I has my drawing sheet populated.

For the last few days it changed. After inserting a view I have to click on the Projected View icon to insert a projected view and click again on the icon for another one and click again ...

What has changed? Is there a setting somewhere in the software or template?

Which SW version and SP?

How are you creating the drawing? (Create from Part/Assy, Start New Drawing, ???)

How are you inserting the first view? (Dragging from the View Palette, Insert View icon, macro, ???)

SW2009 SP2.1
Most of the time Making from Psrt/Assy then dragging from View Palette.
I used to be able to create the views by moving the mouse regardless of how I inserted the first view. With this SW version and SP.

Are you using "View Palette" to insert drawing views?
If so, make sure you select "Auto-start projected view"

Hope this helps.

I'm running SW09-SP2 and the view creation/placement is working per your list of steps above.

Has Windows updated itself recently?

Have you tried a System Restore, or SW repair?

I just found the "Auto-start projected view" above the the Drag views onto drawing sheet. I have no idea how it become uncheked. Thanks designer22
