hi,

i want to create a new part with cylindrical csys or spherical csys

instead of cartesian cordinates, how do i create it??

create cylinderical coordinate system before you start making any feature and then reference it to your features.

Hi, It seems that cylindrical CS or Spherical CS cannot be created in Part or Asm mode.

Strictly speaking the coordinate system is purely a referencing system in space with no particular units.

When you create feature around it they can be dimensioned in a
manner corresponding to one of the three version however when you
create datum points that are Offset CSys you get the option of
specifically picking one of the 3 system types.

You also need to have datum planes to create a Datum point/Offset Csys
but once you have created the point(s) you can delete the planes which
proves you didn't need them in the first place. Go figure!
