I'm recreating an existing drawing in NX-8.5 (Windows 7), and I'm having trouble attaching a datum with an extension line. Here is what the old drawing looks like:

I've tried attaching it to the surface and to the dimension itself, and I end up with a datum that I can't move, like so:

Is there anyway I could attach it either to the dimension or the surface and slide it sideways so the extension line continues out with it?

Thanks!

Do not add it to the dimension line. Add it to the actual edge and or surface of the part the creates the "A" datum. Then Old down the shift key click and drag it where you want it. Know it may take a little work if the edge that you are looking at is a Arc.

That worked perfectly, thank you!
