What is the best way to go about creating a crown like part. Very similar to that of Burger King's Crown. I know some pattern would help, but detail would be nice. Thanks!

Create a revolve for the basic shape.
Cut out a curved notch and then circular pattern around the revolve.
Add a sphere to one of the peaks and also circular pattern around revolve.

I would create a ring. Then make the spike of the crown as a lofted part and pattern the loft.

You'll have to define the details. How many points on your crown do you want? The number of points will define the spacing of your pattern. Perhaps if you elaborate on your application, you will get more relevant answers. What materials are you considering for your crown? Knowing this can give us hints as to the manufacturing process, which can lead to different modeling techniques, which will yield a model that is more appropriately designed/built.

Matherjd, it would be helpful in the future when you are making model files available for download to indicate the SW version the models are created in. Not everyone is on the same version or service pack.
