Hi there Forum,

I finally find a Solidworks forum!!!

I need help in creating a BELT or CHAIN in Solidworks. I'm assembling a simple RPM Reductor and I can't seem to find a way to create a belt to use. My main question here is how do I give the part the belt caracteristic? If I simulate the assembly I want the pulleys to move by means of the belt.

Please help a student out..

Best regards,

Victor

I don't know how to make the chain/belt move, but you can use a gear mate to drive the pulleys w/ the correct relative speeds.

Thanks Guys,

I manage to use the Gear Mate. I'm going to have to wait until the 2007 for this feature. In the mean time, solid belt for me, LOL.

Thanks again,

Victor
