Hi,

I have xyz co-ordinates for the outer surface of a part I wish to create in ABAQUS. The part will resemble a cylinder with variable centreline. (If the cylinder runs longitudinally down the z-axis, I have (x, y) points for the outer surface of the cylinder for different values of z.)

Is it possible to somehow import these co-ordinates into ABAQUS and create the part.

Thanks,

Matt

I don't believe you can in Abaqus. This is more a Unigraphics task, something more intended and powerful at surface modeling. Can you achieve you intended shape with the draft or twist extrude features?
