Create Line ID error in Piping design

Hi,
I use Piping design to create a pipe run but have trouble to create Line ID because the session ask to set a directory for
Line lists in Project XML files that has write access. I watch on Youtube and see somebody advise to edit Projectdata.xml files
but I don't want to screw up the setup.
Would you possible advise how to fix this error. I am currently using CATIA V5R21

Make a backup and edit project xml file.

Thannks for your response.
I did have the backup. The problem is that I don't know what line or where to remove some parameters in this Project.xml file
If you know how, would you point it out. Also I don't know if we can edit the file, can we save to replace the original file.
Somebody mention that after the file change, your piping design session would be corrupted.
