Hi, I'm new to Solid Workks but have worked on Proe for several
years. I'm making a revolved extrusion and want to create a
diameter dimension about the axis of revolution. So far, I can
only figure out how to make a linear dimension from the axis of
revolution to the line in question, which will be the radius once the
sketch is revolved. In Proe there is an easy way to change this
linear dimension to a diameter while in sketch; this makes it easier to
dimension the part when creating a drawing. Does anyone know how
to do this in SW?

Thanks,

Aaron

When your in the sketch and have clicked the two lines for your dimension, move the mouse to the side of the rev axis opposite the sketch entity. The dimension line will double in width and when you perform the revolution it will show as a diameter dimension.
