Hi everyone, I just wondered what kind of material was used as crankshaft main bearings in a diesel engine nowadays. We have found on a computer modeling software that the best compromise would be a Young's modulus of about 80 GPa, I'd like to compare to see if we're in the ballpark there.

Thanks, if you need some other infos...

On a 7000+ HP turbo'd V20 diesel that has 11+" dia. mains, the bearings are Clevite/Michigan 77's.
