Hello All,
I had to design a crane pedestal(tower shaped plate structure) on floating vessel. As per API2C, I had to include offload, side load, crane base motion loads e.t.c. I had been provided by the crane manufacturer Max safe working loads (onboard & offboard rating) and also max thrust & max moment.
Can someone pls tell me how do I calculate offload & side load and how do I apply these loads on the pedestal..
Iam using SACS & the pedestal is tower shaped plate structure imported in to sacs from ansys..
