One of our millwrights recently rebuilt a load brake on a 10 ton hoist at our plant. The new discs called out were non-asbestos. Because of this the oil in the load brake was changed from 150 wt to 100 wt. Since this was rebuilt occassionly a rumbling noise could be heard from the load brake.
Has anybody had this problem?
If so what did you do to fix it?
Also, I've been looking on the web for a good site showing the cutaway view of a load brake to explain, but can't find one. Does anyone know of a good site showing pictures?
Thanks
