COVID and choosing a career 1

Hi,

I plan to join a welding course this year. But due to COVID, I doubt is it a good option to pursue my career. As all the industries are down, I'm not sure about taking a particular course. Can anyone suggest a good course, or is joining a welding course is the best option?

Welding will not go away. Nor will the need for welders. If industry is temporarily down, it's the ideal time to prepare yourself through education for when industry goes back up.

I can see more welding due to down business. Companies needing to keep stuff going they might otherwise replace.

Any course taken now is of value, today, tomorrow or in the future. Doesn't matter if it's welding, first aid or knitting it's about increasing your skill base.

Thanks all for your valuable comments. I'm glad to hear that there are still lots of chances in the welding industry. I have already contacted some of the schools to inquire about the program. After discussing some of my seniors, I have decided to join a welding course in the school nearby.
