We need help with calculating counter weight sizes & shapes for steel billet crankshafts.
Are there any formula's available for calculating this for 4,6 & 8 cylinder race engines any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is no one ideal CW weight for a V8 crankshaft. The best configuration for your application depends on several variables that are often dictated by the space in your block more than anything else.

If you will describe the application, I can give you some guidance.

If you will model your crankshaft in 3D solids you should be able to design a crankshaft that will not need to be put on a balancing machine.

If you need a 3D model let me know, I may be able to help.
