cost of ANSYS

Why is it so difficult to find out the cost of ANSYS?

because it costs a lot of money and every dealer want to make as much as possible per sale. So they all ask you to call for a quote or email. Our educational license is $1400 per year. that includes the program itself, crappy and very confusing user manual filled with many typoes and misspelled words and get-on-your-knees-and-beg customer support. One the other hand your can get a commercial license or buy the software for about $60000. Here you will get good customer support + program + same crappy user manual and maybe something more.
