Hello,
I am cost modeling a backup power system which stores a large volume of hydrogen at 2000-3000psi. I am trying to decide between ASME pressure vessel storage or DOT certified tube-trailer type storage, but can't come up with a cost for recertification of the DOT tube trailer using acoustic emission technology. Hydro testing the tube trailer would be too costly and interfere with the process for too long, so I have to go AET if I use the non-ASME storage. Does anybody have any information on how much one of these firms will charge for a trailer recertification?
Thank you
