I`m making a bid estimate of a crude atmospheric unit. The equipment has a capacity of 35.000 BPSD, with a 48ºAPI crude (I have the TBP curve). The main products are light and heavy naphtha, kerosene, diesel and GOA.

Does any one know where I can find that cost.

Designers and manufacturers of towers, websites or books.

I know that the cost of a equipment depends on a great many variables, such as: location, pressure, temperature, etc, nevertheless, I`m asking for a bid.

The best way to obtain an accurate cost estimate is from some of the major refinery engineering and construction companies like Fluor, KBR, Bechtel or Jacobs ... just to name a few.

Very rough order of magnitude is about $1500 per bbl. At that size unit the big E and C s will laugh at you.

35,000 bbl/day is a nice size tower, say 3 meters in diameter.

I have another question, is this $1500 per bbl for purchased, delivered, set-in-place or installed equipment?

I made a simple simulation using Aspen and I got a diameter of 5 meters, is this rather much?.

Thank you in advance

Cost for modularized refinery is $1000/bbl ex works. Needs to be transported, installed and hooked up. Does not include u and o. 35,000 bpd used refinery has 11' id atm column.
