COSMOS error message: unable to open temporary files

Everytime I try to mesh my simple part solidworks displays the message:

unable to open temporary files

and promptly crashes

What the hell does that mean?

Make sure you have read/write access to the temporary directory. Also check that the working directory is not full (where the TEMP and TMP environment variables point). If this does not work then repair the installation of SW/COSMOS.
