I am trying to do a simulation on metal panel by ABAQUS . The problem is like that - it is a plate element. Rectangular in top view. Have a corroded pit of a certain radius. Under dynamic load , this pit radius will increase. And will exceed the critical radi, initiate an center crack tip. Damage tolerance mode will be Mode-I. I need to combine corrosion effect with dynamic load to simulate the stress distribution ,and calculate life length , failure parameter values. Can any GURU help me please ? will be immensely grateful
