Hi all,
EN13480 doesnt specify on the magnitube of thickness allowance but PAS1057 says 1mm for Ferritic pipe irrespective of Technical delivery condition. Query is if i sent the calcualtion to Statutory body, do they ask for 1mm allowance??

Whats the back ground of your question?
Statutory body
You mean a notified body?
do they ask for 1mm allowance??

No, they will probably review the risk analysis (if this is for PED 2014/68/EU) and see what youve came up with for reasoning/argumentation on corrosion, erosion and other allowances. Specifying it for general purpose is not possible. CA is often specified by the end user as they have specific knowledge about the media/fluids. There are plenty servies one can think of for which specifying 1 mm CA for ferritc pipe is overkill.

Ok, So the approving authority will not ask for 1mm CA by showing PAS 1057-1 if i submit my EN13480 calcualtion?

Im not sure what youre trying to say/achieve. Why not ask your NoBo this question? Whats the background/application? I cant speak for your NoBo.

PS: PAS = Publicly Available Specification. Where can I find these specs? I assume theyre free to use?

Yes , good idea is to speak to NoBo. thank you. Background application is Drain and other stuff is boiler. PAS is in our internal server. May be check google , i cant speak for google!haha
