is there any correlation between plate bearing test and compaction test (cone method or with troxler)?

No, in my view. Local correlations might be developed for a specific purpose; but no "general" correlation.

Agree with BigH...we have typically done in-place density tests under the plate load test after completion of the test as a correlation, but that is site-specific...not something you could hang your hat on otherwise.
