emrekop,
Bolt torque requirements are dependant upon the actual bolt load requirements of the joint. The physical dimensions of the gasket and the material of construction will determine the minimum, maximum and optimum seating stress requirements. External loads as well as pressure will affect the bolt loading requirements to ensure that the minimum seating stress in maintained whilst not exceeding the maximum seating stress of the gasket. To provide a bolt torque for a joint is not easy to do without knowing all of the dependant factors which could affect the required bolt load and hence torque. Also remember that if a bolt torque is given the actual bolt tension applied to the bolted joint could be in excess of +/-30 % of the anticipated value.
