Can anybody offer any information about charts or formulaes applicable for correct sizing of the compressor, condensing units and the evaporator for industrial cold room in relation to the enclosed space to be cooled (including ante-rooms) and the cooling level required?

what temerature are you maintaining and how big is the room: L, W, H ; is this a walk in box with normal insulation?

I highly recommend reading about the topic in Fundamentals of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning by Roy J Dossat. Once you understand the principles in detail, two tools that would be of great help to you are,

1. The HeatCraft design manual, a step by step design process for easy calculations at,

(go to Engineering Manual)

2. The cold storage design software from Keeprite,

Imok 2: I am looking at a variety of rooms for holding food items in transit between processing, ranging from 4m x 2m x 2.25m typical to like 4m x 4.2m x 2.25m. The only common denominator in the dimensions is the height of 2.25m. Its the modular coldroom type with polyurtethane foam insulation. Temperature range +30 deg centigrade to -12 deg centigrade

Thanks IMOK2 the site is highly invaluable and has provided the exact information needed
