copper and iron levels in water systems

can anyone help; I need to find the recommended maximum level of Cu and Fe permissable in circulating water systems for commercial heating. I know this is a sign of corrosion and I have had the water tested and these readings are noted as 'high' but I don't know what the recommendations are. If anyone has copy of relevant page from British Standards perhaps they could up load so that I can print it off

It will depend on the heater that you have. You would have to get that information from the supplier of the heater.

However, if you have a low pressure boiler, there really should not be a concern. The suspended solids concentration may be several hundred parts per million in a low pressure boiler.

In addition, since there is little to no oxygen in the heating system, the ongoing corrosion is nil.
