Cooper + Galvanized pipes

What is the reaction between a cooper pipe and a galvanized pipe, there is a problem in this kind of connection.

Copper and zinc are near opposite ends of the "activity scale" defined by corrosion researchers, and will react in the presence of water.

Do a web search for "galvanic corrosion" to learn the basics.
