Converting string into PlainText

Hi!

I'm about to write a programe in MatLab that uses Caesar cypher. The problem is that I want to read a .txt file into MatLab and then format into PlainText (text without numbers, large letters, no symbols - only letters, with spaces and without line breakers \n)
How can i do that?
