Converting dxf file to an ascii file used by a simulation tool

I am very interested on knowing how I can convert a dxf file ,obtained from a GIS, to an ascii file. I will use this ascii file into a simulation tool. This ascii file should have information about diameter, length, x, and y coordinates.

Would you be so kind as to give me hand to solve this problem?
