I draw the profile of a traffic cone & then revolve it 359 degrees. I then try to "insert bends" to convert it to sheet metal. I keep getting error messages when it tries to insert bends saying "no bends found". I've tried selecting not just the profile edge, but every edge possible & I keep getting errors. I have attached the file I'm working with.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time,
-Dan

Dan,

Found your post about this on eng-tips, and it sounds like you've figured out that you are asking SW to do some impossible stuff with the addition of that flange. Do you still need help with this part?

Hi Dan,

I was able to fix it.

Please let me know what version of SolidWorks you're using (as well as your email address), and I'll send you the revised, sheet-metal part.

@JImshaw,

I think the cat is nearing the bag now but I definitely

Jim,

What version of SolidWorks are you using?

SW2009

I work with 2010 and 2011.

In that case, should I just send you my methodology?

~ Jeff

Yes please.

Sorry for the delay.

Here are the steps which I took to modify the file:

1. Open SM traffic cone.SLDPRT.

2. Edit Sketch2 in the Revolv-Thin1 feature.

3. Delete the angled line and exit the sketch. You should now be left with a flat donut figure.

4. Open the Sheet Metal toolbar and click on the Convert to Sheet Metal icon.

5. Under Sheet Metal Parameters, select Face<1> for the
