controlling fluid flow with PLC 1

hi guys,
i want to control fluid flow with PLC in oil plant
how it's program in ladder logic if i using omron or alanbradley PLC's?

Well, if you can open a pipe and stuff the PLC inside, the PLC will probably control the flow after you reclose the pipe, but the effective Cv will depend on the orientation of the PLC relative to the pipe axis, and possibly on fluid/structure interactions between the PLC and whatever downstream obstruction it lodges against once flow resumes.

Solid answer for a Mechanical guy.

Barca:

Just make sure the PLC is located in the pipe with enough upsteam and downstream pipe diameters to get that Reynolds number. Also, be sure to check for material compatibility.

You will need to have some way to measure the flow (flowmeter) and someway to control the flow (valve, variable speed pump etc). Both of these devices will need to have nalog signals that can be connected to the PLC. Then place a PID controller instruction in the ladder logic and tune it.
