I'm looking for a cost-effective Control valve engineering course targeted for the needs of a few of our engineers identified as becoming company-wide specialists.I know that Emerson offers a 4.5 day CONTROL VALVE ENGINEERING II course at Marshalltown, IA covering :

Aerodynamic Noise, Whisper Trim,IEC Noise Prediction,
Whisper Flow Diffusers, Cavitation Issues and Solutions
Steam Conditioning Valves, High Pressure/Temperature Issues,Sizing for Two Phase Flow, Fluid Mixtures, and Dissolved Gas, Corrosive/Erosive Service
Actuators: Stroking Speed, Hysteresis, and Other Control Application Guidelines

Can anyone suggest any other compnay that provides this level of training

Check with ISA. They offer control valve courses that are more generic.

I have taken the Fisher Rosemount valve engineering 1300 course it has been a great help to me.
