I am drawing something and then am gonna make a drawing file out
of it...when the drawing file is made is there a way that you
can make an excel spreadsheet with all the parameters of the drawing and
part and change them that way and it will update the drawing for the
new parameters?

you mean model something then make a drawing?

I believe Solidworks like Pro/E will let you work with excel but I've never done it. you might get a quicker answer if you post this also on the SW forum.

Yes it is.
SW help files teach you en detail about using Excel to control parts and/or assemblies.

You can control dimensions (including mate's, feature's, sketch's dimensions) as well as colors, materials and so on.

Note please that a drawing is fully linked to a part or assembly. So, if you have a drawing (for a part or assembly) if you modify that part (assembly) the drawing will be automatic updated to reflect the changes.

So is no need (and as far as I know, it is not possible) to directly control the drawings.

Hope this is a help for you.
Good luck !
