Dear experts
Please, give your feedback to following:
- offshore, control panel, controller is inside this panel;
- control panel is actually very big jb;
- controller has the certificate with listed standards, which are not active any more (EN);
- assemblier of this panel tells, that this arrangement is self-certified by them as suitable for Zone2 installation.

Does it work?
Thanks a lot for the help!

Are you talking about an ATEX certificate (Zone 2)?

Micalbrch,
mentioned in certificate std: EN 50018 (Withdrawn in 2000); EN 50014 withdrawn, superseded by EN 60079-0.
I have read that it is responsobility to keep the certification of product updated, even if std was superseded by other, manufacturer has to arrange product's certificate in accordance with new.

Yes, it is about ATEX.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, the package shall be certified by ABS (if i understand correctly, ABS shall certify the whole FPSO, we have to get the "declaration to confirmity for our package, it will help end-client to get the BAS certification).

Send the panel back to the manufacturer. It should not happen that a manufacturer for equipment in explosion areas confirms that he is not up to date with the relevant standards.

Fortunately ABS review is in future.
Thanks lot for the help!
