Hello

We are proposing Contiguous Bored Pile walls as retaining earth for Highway schemes.I was wondering how to hold the soil between the piles. Is there any minimum spacing criteria between the piles so that soil mass is stabilised. What are the drainage arrangements to be proposed in case there are rise in GWT/local inflow due to runoff occurs?

Thanks and Regards
Debasis

It seems to me that this forum is not the place to start your investigation of a new (to you) earth support method. You should first review geotech books, check with highway departments and agency design manuals, and talk to specialty contractors who do this or similar work. Your questions indicate to me that you haven't yet looked for any available information.

If at one stage you should get water, it would be preferable to shift to a secant pile wall
