Contacts for bolted connections in workbench

Hi All,
I am analysing a box section that has got plate bolted on to it,i am not intrested in the bolts as it is,i have calculated the tension in the bolts and applied a tensile load on the bolt holes,

The aim of the analysis is to know about the stress pattern in the box section and the plate.

I have assumed the contact between the box section and the plate to be bonded(taking that bolts are not going come apart),

i would appreciate if some one can tell me the contact i have asumed is reasonable.

Badri07,

It is one common approach that I have used with success. However most of my parts are solids. I guess the basic question is how much of an approximation in stiffness is made by ignoring the bolts. If your box section is thick then it is probably ok.
