hello........ can anyone tell me how to crate a contact between a track(road) and a Tyre? i want the Tyre to rotate on the road due to which the vehicle should go forward as it happens real time. i am trying to run an analysis where i want to analyze the damping effect due to irregularities on the track ( such as speed barkers) i am trying to use a planer connection but am unable to do it.i will thank full if anyone could help me...

simply put i want to run a Tyre on road where the Tyre has to rotate as well as translate. sumbody help plzz......

Pro/ENGINEER is not (yet) an appropriate tool to do this type of simulation. There are no current provisions for validated tire models to be integrated into dynamic simulations in MDO. To do proper vehicle dynamics or vehicle ride simulations there are many, many options available.

The tire mechanics are not being modeled here. This is a fully rigid body analysis. There is not deflection in the tire.


This simulation can be duplicated with enough trial and error, but it is not a realistic simulation.

yes sir what u say is true.......... all i wanted to do is to create a damper between the Tyre and the chassis and see how it behaves under unevenness of the track..... thanks for ur considaration......

I believe lesson 15 goes through a tire rolling down a slide with rotation. Maybe this will help you

sorry i am asking hell lot of questions.......... but can anyone tell me how to create trace curves? ....................... after i use the analaysis def file and give the datum point it says UNABLE TO SAVA TRACE CURVE IN PAPER PART................. IF POSSIBLE ANY TUTS?......thanks
