Hi all

I m studying the contact between two cylindrical parts to set up contact pressure.

However, at some places, i notice (when i put the deformation scale x1000) that the two penetrates each others!

i have defined normal behavior-hard contact, and it stills not working

any ideas?
Thanks in advance

If there is an initial gap at these places then a deformation scale greater than one will show a false penetration. Also you can expect a small amount of penetration in a "valid" contact analysis, so you could be just scaling up the small error.

Use a scale of one when examining results of a contact analysis.
