Good afternoon. I am part of a biofuel company that uses rendered waste streams as a feedstock. We are in the process of streamlining our process and making something that runs efficiently off of multiple types of streams. Our challenge at the moment is that we lack the full knowledge and experience - especially on a chemical makeup level - with these materials. Does anyone know of a consulting firm/individual (preferably with PhD Chemists or long term industry professionals) that might have some of this knowledge? Ideally in Houston, TX, or Columbia, SC. Thanks for the help.

We have the book - which is definitely useful - and the 'North American Rendering' looks as though it will be very useful as well; thank you. The most significant point now is that we need help on a case by case basis; ideally the type of help that would be able to reflect on the sludge as it relates, specifically, to our process.

Sounds like you need to contact an engineering and hire the specialists you are looking for.

I would suggest a call to the organization. They should be able to provide you with references to contact. They also have a magazine and consultants will advertize there.
